The Rook
When the game begins, each player starts with 2 rooks in the corners of the board
The rook is the second most powerful piece in conventional chess (behind the queen) and can move any number of squares in a straight line
The rook cannot jump over pieces, so it is blocked by the other rook in this example and cannot move to F2
The rook can only take pieces that are in its path
